Slow and Steady....It's not how you start, but how you finish the race!

I can hear her ardous breathing as Nicole swam up the last 50m. She is brave, sporting and determined. Applauding her great effort in finishing the races she took part last Sunday at the DTSCA 38th Club Championships at Doncaster Aquarena...the 100m Freestyle and Breast Stroke is simply not easy.

Understatement. Very difficult, for someone like her, who had only picked up swimming early this year, pitting herself with girls that had probably been swimming since toddler days, against girls who are pre-buscent but not yet 12 (10-11 category)

Nicole simply enjoys her new sport, she adores swimming and lights up whever she has swim lessons. Tirelessly in her endeavour.
Her coaches say that she has great attitude. I am contented as it is no intention for her to superbly excel in this...not like an Olympian...but more for the good of the mind and the body.

You go Girl!!!

Happy Happy Happy in Singapore

Had a lot of fun while back in sweaty Singapore. Aunt Ivy booked nights at the new MBS and Sentosa Resort and we enjoyed our stay in the new hotels.
It was fantastic to play with my cousins Ethan and Edwin. Edwin keeps us laughing when he does his "Good Idea" act. It really cracks us up.
Mangaed to have a swim together with Ethan, in the hotel pool as well as at Tampines. It was raining cats and dogs when we first swam at Tampines. Ah Ku was very patient with us and we had so much fun that we went again when the weather was better.
Bowling at Downtown East with mum and dad, but we did not take any pics. I managed to have several strikes, but there was no turkey in sight. Hmmm....it seemed I fared better with the gutters down than up. I must be improving. It is definetely so much cheaper to bowl in Sg than in Oz.
Needless to say, I was feasting everyday, from my mama's fantastic and delicious and full of nutritious dishes, to so many types of hawker food, to treats by Aunt Ivy, food brought back by Ah Kim, Ah Ku, the bangawan solo kweh lapis and many more goodies from White Sands, the list goes on and on....yummy!!!!
