Short Hols in Phillip Island

We had heaps of fun in Phillip Island. The 2 days went quickly by.....
Cowes Jetty on Xmas Day ......not crowded at all.....
Nobbies...fantastic place, fantastic views....many shearwater birds, a mama penguin and her little baby, crashing waves....ah! The wonders of nature
Delicious dinner of grilled chicken wings (thanks to aunty Manna), minced chicken cooked with sweet peas and carrots and vege with oyster sauce ~Burp!
A tiring, gruelling day in Woolamai beach / reserve.....the view is fabulous. But we hate the buzzing mozzies!!!!So many of them and they bite!
The winds were strong and the sun was high above us....mum and I realised we were kinda burnt...yep, the necks and ears...when we returned home later in the evening. yikes.
Dinner was at the RSL...where we ate in January, they gave a free icy pole for the kids!
So while Vanessa and family went to watch the Penguin Parade, we became rescuers to a group of Chinese who had lost their keys in the bushes at lonely Red Rock Beach and had locked themselves out of their car! Mum was on the mobile with 000, RACV and finally help came!
On the final day, we went to a busy Farmers' Market in ChurchHill Island before heading to see the feeding of Pelicans in San Remo. The fish and chips shop had undergone a renovation and we had heaps of chips, dim sims, scallops, flakes for another sinfully yummy lunch!
